We’re going to Mardin with Shafak Gokturk, Sumerian city in Anatolia

We will follow traces of Sumerian, Akkad, Elam and Babylon in this trip

1. Day: Mardin is well known as an expression ‘’Daytime is an enjoyable view; Night time is like a necklace.”Mardin is an amasing city where the religions and the languages meet, also there is a combination of many different cultures and beliefs from Asyrianas to Arabs. Our first stop in Mardin will be in old Mardin, is primarily Kasimiye Madrasa. The madrasas which carries all the intricacies of the Artuklu art is expertly exhibited for many years for educational purposes. We’re going to visit Kırklar Church after visiting to Kırklar Church we will visit Mardin Archaeological Museum. We will continue our way from the bazaars and visit the most  historical mosque  of Mardin called Ulu Mosque. We will have a chance to taste local delicacies on our break for lunch. After our lunch, Visit Deyr-ul Zaferan monastary. The was a centre of Patriachate of  Asyrians more than 1000 years. The monastery including   4000-year-old Sun Temple, the Shifahane, the church and the baptist pool.We complete our day trip and return to our hotel. Accommodation and dinner at our hotel in Mardin.

2. Day: After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, We’re heading to the ancient city of Dara. We are going to visit Cave houses, tombs, churches and Sur cisterns, and the places that are called underground  dungeons among the inhabitants of Dara. This ancient city  will remind us of the ancient city of Ephesus in Selcuk. After Dara, we turn our route to the place called white water, which is depicted as a corner from heaven with its  cool waters. After  a tea break in White Water area we are heading to one of the first settlements of the Syrians, the tour Abdin centre called  Midyat, the heart of the region. At Midyat, we are making our visit to the Guest house, where the Sıla series was filmed. Next stop will be Mor Gabriel (Deyr-ul Umur) Monastery. After  visiting this monastary  We will give free time in the market square for the local art called Telkari(silver wire embroidery) . After lunch we are moving to HASANKEYF. During our Hasankeyf visit we will see The new palace, Masjid, observation tower, Grand Palace, Ulu Mosque, caves section, which will be flooded due to the city of the Tigris River. As a panoramic view, we will take a photograph of the unique minaret of the rest of the El Suh Mosque. We will visit the bridge which built by the king of Artuklu called Fahrettin Karaaslan. Next photo stop will be tomb of the Blind Zeynel. After photographing, we complete our Hasankeyf trip and move to the airport.
